Wall Street Journal columnist Jeffrey Zaslow became a household name with the publication of The Last Lecture, the non-fiction book he co-wrote with terminally ill computer science professor Randy Pausch in 2008.
At the time that he began collaborating with Pausch, Zaslow was already at work on another non-fiction, one that, like The Last Lecture, also originated from one of his weekly columns.
The column, which explored turning points in women's friendships, inspired a glut of email to Zaslow, including one from a 40-something woman named Jenny who wanted to let Zaslow know about her 10 best girlfriends....
