Small Press Review
As soon as you open WORD DANCING, Jeanne Powell's craftswomanship and power draw you in and keep you reading until the final syllable. Each word feels carefully chosen and each piece of writing as a whole conveys a resounding depth of experience and an unreserved love of her craft. Her prose and poems sing upon the page, and the energy of her imagination dances.
Her latest book also contains the marvelous offering of visual art, in the form of Ms. Powell's collages printed in full color. Her collages mirror her poems and prose in their blend of vitality and imagination.
