AS a 16 year old male, I throughly enjoyed this book and took it as a lesson more then anything. The dangers we of the "in" crowd pose to outsiders is frightening and if I had not read books frequently since 4th grade, my "nerdness" would not be accepted. The danger women and alcohol pose is something recognized but frequently ignored and Laurie Anderson does a great job of utilizing that danger. The suicidal thoughts embody how many teens respond to pressure today, escape. Tyler Miller is a great character and more then I expected from a Young Adult Book.
