Any numbers people out there?
Blog Post by Jayne Lyn Stahl - Apr.08.2009 - 10:35 am
Okay, I'm not a numbers person, so can anybody tell me how many "surprise" visits to Iraq have been made by commanders-in-chief, or other elected official, and is anything different about the one President Obama just made?
If the media has indeed become the massage, then stop the war I want to get off!

no turkey
I was glad Obama wasn't holding up a fake turkey on a platter! That happened during g.w.'s surprise Thanksgiving visit and it was sad yet telling.
I am no expert Jayne on
I am no expert Jayne on political matters but can anybody tells me why or who wants war?
the people
who stand to make the big bucks---the war manufacturers, the Halliburtons, Blackwaters, those who deconstruct to reconstruct, those who make military gear, and military planes; the bankers, and CEOs of fortune 500 companies.
I'm no expert either, Mary, and this goes back to World War I, the New Deal, and "War Is A Racket" by Smedley Butler. The same folks who made big bucks off serfs, during feudal days, make big bucks off occupation nowadays. (hell, even the dudes who first occupied this country!)
