I read this very interesting story today at WorldNetDaily about a controversial new service being offered by Planned Parenthood of Indiana, offering gift certificates. Citizens of the state of Indiana can purchase gift cards to give as presents during the holiday season. In case you are wondering, they are available in increments of $25.
Planned Parenthood contends that the gift certificates can be used to obtain access to general health care by women that are in difficult situations and may not be able to afford services like health screenings or yearly exams.
They can, however, be used to pay for abortions. Taken together with its annual “choice on earth campaign” many abortion opponents find these ideas reprehensible.
“In its continual attempt to ‘normalize’ abortion, Planned Parenthood has once again chosen to offend the Christian community by releasing the latest edition of its ‘Choice on Earth’ holiday cards,” said Sedlak in a statement. “Contrary to the open-minded image the abortion organization aims to present for itself, Planned Parenthood has zero tolerance for anyone – or any religious group – that recognizes abortion as an evil act that kills a pre-born baby.”
Abortion is always a lightining rod issue. What do you think about this organization offering gift cards?
