I grew up in the sixties, living over a impossibly busy family restaurant with four siblings. I eventually became a physician, and I suppose I will always be that by training, even as I have given up that career to become a writer. Having just finished my MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College, I am simply trying to write each day and improve my craft, and become a part of a community of writers. I ponder the parallels between restaurants and hospitals, as well as the lives of children.
Cooking, inspired by my amazing mother who was the restaurant cook, as well as knitting and sewing in an attempt to make beautiful things. I love walking and listening outside. I love movies and theatre.
