Another Faulkner-Wisdom Success Story!
Jane Satterfield of Baltimore, Maryland, a Faulkner-Wisdom Competition 2007 winner in the “Essay” category, is being published! Her essay, “The Crooked Track” was expanded into a memoir and is to be published in the spring by Demeter Press (York University, Toronto). The 2007 essay category was judged by Rodger Kamenetz.
Said Kamenetz of the news, “Glad she’s continued in the fine Faulkner tradition of contest winners finding publishers.” Kamenetz will be blurbing the book as well.
Jane Satterfield said, “The Faulkner medal was a terrific boost and, I’m sure, an additional factor in the book’s progress toward publication.”
Congratulations Jane, and to all our competition winners who continue to find success in the publishing world. For more info on the Faulkner-Wisdom Creative Writing Competition, visit www.wordsandmusic.org/competition
