Brought radio to school Kids said, "Play it in school." We Erica me didn't.

Played in the snow for the first time since great snow fall.

Went to dancing lessons. We learned the bunny hop. Before that had stinken piano lesson. Like dancing better than piano.

I hate Daddy. Kookie. Just because I was skipping downstairs he starts yelling at me. Whenever he yells at me he always go down and tells Mommy.

Washed hair. After finished used a rince that softens my hair and makes it silky.

In gym we had the rings, minitramp, and buck. On minitramp we acted out Batman and Superman.

Yesterday Tina crunched my toe. It's all purple and it HURTS!

PIANO LESSON! Got it all right. Washed hair too. Brought jump rope, part of clothes line, to school. Was keen day!

March 12

I went to Pam's party. We went swimming in a indoor swimming pool. Had ball and flippers and a fludderboard. Dads a dink.

Bruce got stuck in the bathroom while Joyce baby-sat. Got her father, but couldn't do much. Her mother came back from town meeting got B. out by rubber thing.

Rocket went up. Had to miss Superman and Lost in Space just cause of news.

April 11

Stayed up till 9:00! Went to a free movie "It's Great to be a Girl" at the Girl Scout House. All about menstruating.

April 21

Played with Francesca. Found a four leaf clover! Made me have no piano lesson! Mitzi was sick now better because of clover!

Tonight Mrs. McKenna saw a saucer shaped thing flying in the air. She said it had white and green lights blinking. It went right over our neighborhood! The radio put calls in by people who saw this thing. They think it might be a meataor. I'm alittle scared.

Rainy day had to stay in for 12:00 recess. Nita came over and babysat us. Erica cheats in gym.

Rainy day. Had club meeting and decided on name of (W)omen (F)olk (G)irls. Went bowling and only had 25 cents instead of $1.25! Mom didn't yell though.

Went to Cathlic church, cause of Andy. Scarey! Afraid might do something wrong. Took a walk, had a swim. too. Ate lunch at about 3:45!

Really embarrassed, cause Vascenka asked me where born, only knew New Hampshire. Didn't know Nashua. Vascenka mean.

HI! Decided to write now because boys are getting interesting in my life. One thing, no one in school even looks my way (boys)! What's wrong? I just hope when I am about 16-17, like in books, I'll have a boy.

I love Mom, she's understanding and so funny. Sorry this is messy but writing in dark. I still have hope Paul Dupre said hi to me and Steve Minden lit my bunson burner for me!!

No experiences will boys. Patty Duke is on Sat. and Sun. Gidgit - weekdays that means I'll soon know boys! By shows do you think?

No school. Study Day. It rained all today, last nite, tonite too! No encounters with boys. I wish something would happen like kids write in their diaries, "Peter is dreamy, and he likes me!"

I curled my hair last night and today didn't want to go to school cuz of it!

Does Mary hate me? She isn't like she used to be, we really aren't friends. She is still to me the best friend I ever had Hope hope she doesn't hate me! She just ignores me. I can't understand it. Janet is going to ask for me (inconspicuously).

I've planned to buy another ring (friendship) for Mary cuz she lost her other one. Maybe that's why she's not playing with me; she doesn't have a ring! No encounters with any boys except my brothers.

Dance! UGG Was it terrible! No one danced with me. Am I too tall, most of the kids asked were short. Oh it's so depressing, no boy likes me!

It's really getting like Spring! The air is cool and no steam comes from your mouth. I guess Mary refuses to like me, maybe I am terrible, but some guys like me so I mustn't be that bad!

Didn't have to go to Grandma's! I sayd "Got too much homework." Got to stay home, but couldn't go out. It's really beautiful out. The air is so soothing and a warm breeze rolls over the earth. HEEEEEEE!

The math quiz! Gross! I stayed up to quarter past and ½ past hour nine (9:45) copying over report. I started at 7:00 and whent to that time. Martian L. King (Dr.) is dead.

Friday, April 5

Isn't it terrible M.L. King Dr. is dead. Cryed in bed last night, I was so sad. Shot in the head! Riots everywhere Wash. D.C. lootings and fires! Mary not mad at me any more! We have made up! I think she is so neet now! SIGH! I'm really happy. Then I think bout Dr. M.L.K. and sad.

Got 3rd term marks - Math - B Engl - B Science B - Music -B. No marks in French this term though secretly took Home Ec dress home and now I have to brink it back to work on it for tomorrow! Smartie!

I got an A is S.S.! C to A! A on report too. Dr. Martian L King's funeral, really sad, and I cried alittle watching it (at home!) Went over Janet's to work on Fruit Fly report, too!

I can't wait to be in the fashion show at school (thur) All I have left is the sleeves and hem. I'll go and do that tomorrow, Mom did my whole neck! She's neet, cool, understanding

I can't be in the fashion show! Mrs. Hebert wouldn't let me take my dress home! (I'm really sad) She said I could sew to show Moms and Dads (right). Tried dippidy Doo on my hair won't be bushy. Hope works!

At fashion show Mary and Janet modeling dressed. Got hair cut, too short! Janet says looks funny. She should keep her mouth shut, might hert guys feelings. (not me)
