Hmmm.... Red Room allows you to see traffic, and I saw a huge spike in blog visitors yesterday. I assume this was because one of the tags I used for that interview was "publishing a Single Kindle." And yes, the interview does talk about that to some degree. But I fear readers may have thought it a bait and switch, if they arrived via that tag.
So, let me direct you, if interested, to another url. This is the publicly viewable (you do not have to be a member of the Well to read it) conversation hosted on the Well on the subject of "Publishing with Kindle and Other Electronic Publishers." If you read it, you will have to do some wading through chit chat, but there's some much more nuts and bolts information in there, from me, from journalist Jacques Leslie (who published a Kindle Single even earlier), and from some who have self-published Kindle books (i.e., not Singles), or in other ways.
Jacques's book came in to the Singles through Atavist.com, so his comments have that additional background to them.
I was offline for a lot of the time this conversation was taking place, but pitched in as I could. I don't show up for a small bit, and then come back sporadically.
I'll hope something in this two week dialogue on the subject of e-publishing is of interest to those of you looking for that kind of information.
