Jan Neuharth, an attorney and avid equestrian, practiced law in Los Angeles before moving to the Virginia hunt country to establish Paper Chase Farms, one of the premier equestrian facilities of its kind. Life in the colorful, close-knit horsey community inspired her to write her debut novel, The Hunt, followed by The Chase and The Kill. A graduate of the University of Florida and Vanderbilt Law School, Jan Neuharth lives in Middleburg, Virginia with her husband, Joseph Keusch, a former Joint Master of the Fairfax Hunt, and their children. She is currently at work on the fourth novel in her Hunt Country Suspense Series.
