Set in the 1860s Nevada Territory. Anne and her father leave the east to visit his long time friend, Thomas Stuart, who has a large ranching operation. Anne was raised in England and the eastern United States. She is smart, strongwilled and educated. Thomas Stuart has three sons and a daughter. His oldest son, Albert is in charge of making sure Anne has a good time. Albert is also college educated, strong willed and smart.  What neither of them expected was that they would fall in love. And when they did, it was like two worlds colliding! Unknown to anyone is the real reason Anne's father has moved her there and he isn't about to let anyone, not even his daughter or the Stuart's get in the way of his dark plan.
