Yesterday was a great day of writing. I think I bagged about 2 thousand words. The story progressed nicely, good dialogue flowed, and it was like watching a movie in my head with my fingers typing to get it all down. Wow...what a great feeling. I am sure every author on occaison experiences a similar day. The expression, "the zone" really came to mind when I was thinking about how well the writing session went. As cliche as that expression might be, I still feel it's a good way to describe it. Hmm...I wonder what factors occur to cause one to slide into "the zone." Were the planets all lined up? Was it the Cream of Wheat I had for breakfast? Maybe it was the way I ground the beans for my morning coffee. Who knows?? At any rate, what a great feeling. Let me know if any of writers have tips to slide into the zone.
Now let me see...I had Cream of Wheat this morning...waiting to enter "the zone". Yes, I think it's starting. Got to go!
