Once in her joy and zeal the proud Satya-Bhama;
The most beautiful queen of the eight Pat-Ranis:
Received Narad ji in his routine palace visit call
To tease, he asked her to show to him the Pari-Jat.
Eyes shone for he knew about the eternal flower
Krishna had given it to the other queen Rukmani
Angry but in sorrow Satya-Bhama told her plight
You know Lord loves her more than me so I cry.
Well you can at least do one thing good for love
‘God has said to donate your most precious Heart
And he will always be yours in love forever again’.
Consoling Narad in his act advised; donate for love.
It is Krishna I love the most and you a Brahman;
I will donate my Lord by Sanklap so guide me now.
With Ganga Jal in your hand offer him so I accept
And Lord Krishna became Narad’s wealth to take.
God bless you all for I must take your leave now,
So saying Narad stuck Krishna to walk him away.
Helpless Krishna call out to Satya-Bhama ‘save me’
Astonished the queens began to wail & weep in tears.
Narad would not relent or agree to let go of Krishna.
Dwarka palace was in turmoil as the queens cried.
Taking pity Narad said I shall agree if you so wish,
Go give me Krishna’s weight in jewellery and gold
Happy Satya-Bhama in pride said I alone have gold
A hundred times more in Krishna’s weight; just wait.
At one side sat Krishna on the other they put the gold
Krishna’s plank did not rise to all counter weights put.
In tears the all ran to Rukmani the senior Pat-Rani
Confident she replaced all the gold with a Tulsa leaf
And prayed to the lord to be as light as the feather
Bless and protect her love and honor in the crisis.
Lord Krishna’s plank lifted easily to her loves call.
Narad ji smiled as Satya-Bhama realized her fault.
