No Writer Is Ordinary

"I've written...about the rhythm of life, be it in the course of our days, or in the events throughout the years which bring us together, for better or for worse. As writers we draw upon these events, those milestones in the rhythm, and we develop character through the lens of passing time."

Will you talk to my readers? A librarian request.

"God created man because he loves stories" --Eli Weisel

Hello Jacqueline:

I am a librarian/author who is part of Red Room because I have written a book about book groups. I work at the private Town and Country Club on Union Square where I have multiple copies of all of your books in hardback, paperback, and CD.  The ladies at this club, founded in 1893, are huge huge fans and they buy lots of books. Book Passage is our official vendor.

I am writing to see if you would be interested in speaking to our ladies about your books, either in person or by phone. If you come in person, we offer an honorarium and a fabulous lunch prepared by a French chef.

Unfortunately, you cannot sell books at our club, because if you did, we would lose our nonprofit status. But you can sign them and direct folks to Book Passage or (horrors!) Borders on Union Square.

If you are interested in appearing, please drop me an e-mail at

towncc@pacbell.net

You can also check out my own author page to learn more about me.

I am new to this blog and to Red Room, so if shamelessly soliciting authors in this fashion is not permitted,  I assume someone will let me know.  But note that you are the only author I am inviting, because of your huge fan base here.

Regards

Lauren John
