“Mothers, Sisters & Friends” is a compilation of poetry which celebrates motherhood, sisterhood and the strength and encouragement found when we create and nurture supportive friendships.Life’s journey is filled with mountains and valleys. Our footsteps are guided by the directions we learnfrom those with whom we share a common bond. We often rely on teachings, experiences, acts and deeds from those who raised, mentored or had some leadership role in our lives to guide our travels and influence the outcome. For many of us (women and men), it is our mother who first holds that role of influence and is our first bond or mentor. So, we often hold on to our mother’s words and ways as a source of comfort and inspiration. As we grow, we develop unique and special relationships with siblings or friends that expand beyond our mother’s guidance, and supports our individual choices. So, regardless of it’s your mother, sister or friend, many of us rely on the bonds we formed to help survive in the valleys and maintain our strength, courage and perseverance to reach the mountain top.The poems included in "Mothers, Sisters & Friends" celebrate and pays tribute to these bonds.
