I worked an Expo yesterday and I am amazed as ever at Spirit's capacity to love their people and their tolerance at explaining why they are showing us things, what they know we are doing, and why they want to add or contribute to our lives.
I have to say I also understand WHY we need to be tolerant and patient with others. When we are not we simply get impatience and intolerance thrown back at us as the world reflects back to us what we put out.
This weekend has been an interesting one for me viewing people's tolerances and of course in this viewing my own. We blur boundaries at times in our understanding, we comment about things we don't like in others but refuse to acknowledge we do that in ourselves. Makes for constant misunderstandings and worse judgement of others when in fact we are doing it to ourselves.
Tai had told me in the morning that I would be in a different place at this Expo, that I would be seated somewhere different. My initial reaction is I didn't want to be in a different place, I liked the spot I had sat at before.
Patiently he made eye contact and gently said "At what time did you have an ownership on a space? on a place or on air itself?". Instant mortification, and a need to get over myself with that one. I had time to consider that it was presumptuous of me to believe I should have a "certain" spot. I got to the hall and there was another woman there complaining about not being in her "space". A man in Spirit leaning against the wall, raises his eye brows at me and rolls his eyes. I try not to giggle inappropriately because unless I had listened to Tai, I could well have been that person.
The times we create intolerance are huge and it comes from nothing else but our own impatience. I was working with a lady and the time constraints were pressuring. To relay all Spirit want in to their loved ones in 15 minutes nearly does both their heads in (Spirit) and mine. My Nana comes close and stands with her hand on my shoulder and I am very aware of my Beloved Guides working like its Grand Central Station and they are Ticket Takers, guiding Spirit this way, that way, organising and gently guiding. I am so terribly grateful for their help and guidance. Nana taps me, "Be Patient and Tolerant". I relay a message and the lady looks blank, I look at her Dad in Spirit imploringly... "Make it easier please! She doesn't understand". He leans in close and yells in her ear and then looks at me with twinkly eyes. OMG!! I smother laughter so much I choke and start coughing.
She looks at me startled "Are you ok?" I wave my hands around, gasping for air like a fish and her Dad in Spirit is STILL chuckling. The old Rouge! I flick a look at him and he shrugs and I relay the message slightly differently and she looks like a light bulb went off above her head and her eyes light up "Oh I remember".
Nana pats my shoulder gently and we are off again. Another client, another round of messages and this time a woman very unhappy with her lot in life. Light glows all around her and Tai leans in this time. "Very fragile, be extremely patient". Mentally I sigh. It is not really my strong point being patient nor tolerant and I am extremely delighted when the Guides add energy to give more of both. I carefully weave through the messages to her in the kindest way possible. She is wrapped so beautifully in the loving light of Spirit in healing blues and silvers, pinks and crisp yellows for clarity. She cannot see it herself from where she has put herself emotionally. Pushing the impatient me aside, I let her loved ones try to give her hope and understanding.
Tai taps me when she leaves and I look sadly after her.
"Never feel that you must give them your patience and tolerance ENERGY. You can give this in kindness of your words but you cannot give them the energy of themselves to be patient or tolerant. They in truth, must find it themselves. When you direct impatience and intolerance at the world, then situations and people come in to test you, to show you a need to be more patient, more understanding and most of all more tolerant.
Every step you take in your life is filled with learning, filled with understanding. How you approach it depends at times on the final outcome. If things are not going your way, there is something that needs addressing, not of the situation, but of you. There is no action without reaction. No wind blows without stirring a leaf. Understand that by standing in your own light of understanding and of yourself, you have the power to see the learning beyond the current situation. The lady expects life to be fair, to be peaceful, abundant. Yet inside she is none of these things. So the outer world reflects back your inner world. It takes patience and tolerance to work with your own emotions, ALWAYS have patience and tolerance with others for what they too are learning".
I have a friend I love to pieces. She always says I don't know how you deal with people they do my head in. That is a perception, no one need do your head in unless you allow them to. In acknowledging that we all have our own learning, our own low spots, high spots and all of those things are ok, then we need to simply be more patient and tolerant. With ourselves first as we are like small children learning new things about ourselves on this journey and with others because we are simply all in this together.
So shine a light of patience and tolerance. With yourself first and the Universe shines its light back in an understanding and heart warming way and you grow in understanding of who you are and situations and people impact less and less as you learn the wisdom you need.
