This post contains coarse language. I drew the cartoon below a couple of months ago. In Korea last week, it was published in my new book Test Your English. (That link goes to a Korean website. Click here to see that book's Redroom page). However this week I am seeing the same kind of image in my own hometown, Sydney, in real life, but with even more anger! I couldn't help but feel somehow responsible... Then I thought, "What a silly thing to think!"

In the book this cartoon appears with a question about some of the language used. (Can you guess what the question is?) As I understand it a lot of protesters in non-English speaking countries like to use English on their signs because it's more likely big news companies like CNN or BBC will show it, and thus broadcast it to a wide audience. However, even CNN has its limits...
