It is the end of September in a Danish city. The young single mother, antropologist student Anna Kiehl, does not come home to her three-year old son after her usual run in the woods. Next morning she is found naked, with her throat cut and a bouquet of dry flowers on her chest.
Acting Detective chief inspector Daniel Trokic, a thirty something bachelor with his roots in Kroatia, leads the investigation that goes in several directions. The police find Anna’s death connected to the disappearance of a prominent researcher in neurochemicals, and finally the trail goes back twenty years in time.
The odd couple, the introvert detective chief inspector Daniel Trokic and his opposite, the colourful IT-specialist Lisa Kornelius, seek the murderer who is closer than they suspect and definitely willing to murder again if necessary. This is an exciting page-turner – a mix between a psychological thriller and a detective novel.
