Probably only hardcore Beatles fans will recognize the fellow on the right. His name is Andy White, and he has the distinction of being the only outside musician to play on a Beatles record instead of (not in addition to) one of the Fab Four. Andy played drums on the group's remake of "Love Me Do" (a session recounted in great detail in our book) because producer George Martin was reportedly dissatisfied with Ringo's drumming the first time around! Both versions ended up being released eventually; you can tell which one you're hearing by whether or not it has tambourine. If it does, that's Andy on the drums (and Ringo on tambourine)!
