Or so I hope. This is my 3rd year and I am determined to win. My first NaNo, I made it to about 15,000 words. Not very impressive considering the 50,000 you need to win, but it was the most I had ever written in one document. The 2nd year I got to about 35,000 words and quit. That novel still sits, snivelling in a corner of my hard drive, hoping to be able to come out and play again some day. This year, it's day 7 and I've passed the 12,000 word mark. I'm on track to not only win, but actually finish a publishable novel (at least I hope it's publishable, it might just be crap.)
We'll see. Today I'm resisting writing for some reason. I can't seem to keep my eyes on work, every time I look at the page and feel trapped and nervous and just want to walk away. Or maybe I just need more caffeine. Or a margarita. Definitely a margarita.
