A Rhodes Scholar and a Ph.D. in English who taught at Harvard for ten years, I have published work in The New England Review, Salamander, and Middlebury Magazine. I am a long-time member of Boston's Grub Street Writers, and I was Grub’s nominee for the 2009 Best New American Voices. My fiction has earned me a 2006 Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Grant, and has been selected a semi-finalist and finalist in the Glimmertrain Fiction and William Faulkner/William Wisdom contests, respectively. Since February 2009, I have been writing film reviews and occasional literary commentary for my blog The View Finder. As a first-generation, bilingual Greek/American, I have spent considerable time in Greece where all my family members reside--and where all my fiction takes place. I travel back to my ancestral village in northern Greece nearly every summer. At home in the States, I am an active member of Boston's rowing community, competing at sculling races throughout the northeast.
