My name is Helen Fischer and I have just finished publishing my first fiction novel, What Dreams Are Made On.

THE PURPOSE:
The purpose of What Dreams Are Made On is for the reader to see how complicated someone's life can become when surrounded by wealth, love, underground crime and family. What Dreams Are Made On for some, will mean romance, for others wealth, success and surprise. For the heroine, after losing her husband, she realises her dreams revolve around the family she had always wanted.
SUMMARY:
Lillian, an Australian lady, impulsively packs her bags and takes a trip on the QEII, where she meets Winston, an Englishman who sweeps her off her feet.
After spending time together on the cruise, they decide to stay a further two months decorating Winston's recently purchased property on the island St Maartins in the Caribbean where they stopped off during the cruise.
It is not long before they both realise their love for one another, which goes far beyond a great sexual relationship. Having to say their goodbyes in New York. Winston returns home to his stately mansion in Suffolk, where he learns his housekeeper has mysteriously disappeared.
Later, he asks Lillian to fly over for a visit.
She is surprised by his extraordinary wealth and although she knew of his title, she didn't know that he was exceptionally well known as Lord Bramble throughout England.
Lillian adores Winston's teenage daughter Louise, and immediately they form a bond. Lillian meets Winston's younger and disturbed brother Claude. She has an eerie feeling in his presence. Cocaine is then found on Winston's property and Lillian learns that Claude is a member of the underworld, trafficking drugs to and from Hong Kong and has been charged with> possession of narcotics. While Lillian is there, Claude is being harassed by notorious criminals; the Boston Boys. At Louise's birthday party, an intruder disguised as a policeman shoots both Claude and Winston.
Winston, after recovering from the shooting, marries Lillian. Later to her great surprise finds out she is pregnant, and has been since St Maartins.> Lillian, who is not sure how Winston will react, hides this secret from him.
During her pregnancy, she suffers nausea especially bad near the lily pond.
Eventually, exploration reveals human bones proven to be those of the missing housekeeper.
After months of extraordinary behaviour, Claude overdoses on sleeping pills,almost ending his life. He admits to murdering the housekeeper and he is sent to prison, where pressure sets in and he hangs himself.
As the Bramble family start to move on from the incident, Lillian gives birth. Soon after, Winston is killed in a plane crash on a business trip.
Lillian,louise , the baby and Louise inherit the Bramble Estate.
Devastated Lillian, has plan to take the children to thier Island home 'Butterfly Chimes' in St Maartins.
She's surprised when her friendly neighbor from Suffolk who's wife died suddenly,nine months before Winston. Who she hab been close to in the last eighteen months arrives on her private plane, and proposes to her .
Lillian hesitates, knowing her heart belongs to Winston; and that her dream of spending her life with Winston is shattered.
She politely declines the proposal, assuring her supportive friend that no isn't forever but this moment in her life, the answer must be no.
However,her dream of a family is still alive, with her dearly loved children, and that is what's important for Lillian to maintain. And for her future; miracles can happen.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Author Helen Fischer was born in Sydney and debuted her creativity first as a hairdresser, owning her own salon.
Helen has travelled the world numerous times, and lived in Nassau in the Bahamas recently for a year, inspiring her to write this book.
Helen was given a wealth of ideas for her creative works, and has now captured many of these experiences to share with readers.
Helen enjoys travel, adventure, holidaying abroad whenever possible.
Helen now resides on the Gold Coast, Queensland's premier tourist capital.
This is Helen's first published novel.
