Helen Elias's Biography
Member Info
My name is Helen Elias. I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada for most of my life. For about 2 years I lived in the USA. My biological father was killed in an accident where he worked when I was 7 years old. It was a hard time for my family. My mom decided to move my sisters and me back to Canada. There she met and married my dad when I was 12. A year later, they moved my sisters, myself and my baby brother to Mexico. We have lived there for nearly 8 years. I graduated from the local bible school. Basically a private high school. I graduated as the youngest person in their 50 years of running. It is a fact that I take pride in. It was also there that my friends first got a sample of my writing. Before that, Ikept it well hidden. But as soon as word got around that I had written a manuscript, I was done for. My friends and family pushed me along until I decided to get my story published. For months I looked into different publishing houses until m y friend Becca told me about Tate Publishing and Enterprises in Mustang, Oklahoma. I felt an instant connection and began the process of sending my manuscript to them. It took 2 weeks before they replied and another 2 weeks before they accepted my novel. It was a wonderful time. We went through a year-long process of editing and the works to get me acoustomed to the industry. My novel "Without A Trace" released in stores on November 29, 2011. Since then I have been doing everything my publicist tells me. That is why I am here. I would like to join Red Room to further my novel and my career as an author. I still feel very new to this and am looking to other authors for advice and role modeling. Thank you. Blessings.
