where the writers are
Works in progress

Well, I finished my Nano...and then I started editing only to realize that it wasn't what I wanted. Not in the least! Boy, did my heart sink. All that finger numbing writing over 50k words in 24 days, and nothing.

The story stinks (pardon my french)! have you ever bitten into a piece of bread straight from the loaf and then look down to see a huge splotch of green mold on the other side? You know that rock in the pit of the stomach revulsion at having eaten something that had molded. That's what the feeling is a little like, but worse - because you have to think about all the hard work you wasted (at least at this time, you can always go back to an old ms :)).

Sorry it has taken so long to write but I was pouting then plotting another book and starting upwards of six seperate short stories, then the holidays came round and being Santa for two is a lot tougher than you may think.

 Why am I writing?

Mostly to just say hi and let you know that I hadn't fallen off the face of the planet, in case anyone was wondering. I have work to do, but don't you always. You think you're finished and then you find that what you've really done is just get started. And, I have lolly gagged long enough...procrastinated might be a better word for what I've been doing but, I like lolly gagged better. :)

I really should get back to writing now, but I will come back sooner and write a more understandable post. This one is like graffiti on a break wall on the interstate...it makes sense to the writer but not to the reader (not usually at any rate!). Talk to you soon,
