THE MAN IN THE BLACK CAPE

He came to me the other night

In my dreams

but did not recognize me

until I said"Do you know who I am"?

I saw the slow recognition in his eyes

Before waking,

then his image slowly faded.

Then today I had an energy reading at the town fair

The psychic said"I see a man in a black cape

hidihg behind a mask with his back to you

he wants to dance with you

but is afraid,and he carries much sorrow

In his heart

He works with his hands" she said,

Making things out of wood

Hiding his loneliness

With the busyness of his work

"does he care for me"?,I asked

She answered"his heart is lighting up

but there is much fear around that,

and sorrow

And my tears flowed freely then

In front of this stranger

Who said the words I longed to hear

And had suspected

the true reason

For the abrupt ending

that made me wonder,why??
