I'm watching the third quarter of the Playoff's with Bobby and his sister, Maria. The Lakers vs. The Magic in Orlando. The Lakers are up by thirteen. Earlier we had a barbeque - just us three. Chicken apple sausages, lamb shoulder, top sirloin, salmon, red, yellow, and green grilled bell pepper, white sweet corn, garlic cloves. And to drink - cheap white wine from Portugal, cheap red wine from Australia and a new beer called, Simpler Times.
7:34pm The fourth quarter. Fifty-nine seconds left in the game. We just heard there's a riot in East L.A. LAL 96/ORL 84. The Lakers lead 3-1. Man, Dwight Howard, his arms! But, back to The Lakers - forty seconds left in the game. Sasha is hugging Kobe. It's anti-climatic, Lakers winning in Orlando - but still, - it's exciting. Victory - LAL 99/ORL 86. I can't believe it, but it’s actually exciting. We're going to celebrate at Mozza Osteria on Melrose. Sit at the bar and have a glass of brandy - or maybe a mojito. I love mojito's.
