Gwyn Ramsey's Biography

A native of Jennings, Missouri, Gwyn Ramsey spent many hours at the library, reading Nancy Drew, Little Women, Treasure Island, Anne of Green Gables, and many others.  Stories were important to her, but it wasn't until she was in high school that she tried her hand at writing.   She took journalism and wrote for the school paper.  When she finished high school, she went out into the work world and eventually married. She attended the Florissant Valley Community College in Missouri and pursued a Computer Applications Associates Degree.  One writing class assignment required that she research and write a final paper.  Gwyn's subject dealt with Agent Orange and the effects on our military in Vietnam.  Per the Veteran Affair's Office request, the paper was submitted for their files. As her family grew up, she developed an interest in genealogy.  Eventually she published a quarterly genealogy newsletter to share the information she had on file.  Research became a hobby that would stick with her through the rest of her life.  When Gwyn and her husband moved to Florida, she left the secretarial field and decided to try writing again, only more seriously this time.  As her stories evolved, the characters came alive.   Writing is now an important part of her life.   She has traveled across the United States during the gold rush with her characters through undeveloped territories, seen the wonders of the west in its magnificence, and eaten the dust from the covered wagons as she walked the Oregon Trail.  What an adventure her characters have taken her on.Now as her novel, Journey to Tracer's Point, is being published by Treble Heart Books, her determination and love for writing has paid off.  Come join Gwyn in an adventurous ride of stories that will thrill you.
