While reading Next Stop, I found myself book marking pages, scribbling in the margins and making notes—one note read “Let Matthew take walks by himself, but teach him to read street signs and call if he needs help.” The book made me realize that I have a lot to learn from great moms like Glen.
“The thing is,” Glen continued, “who among us parents doesn’t want to be able to say to our children ‘Go lead your own life’? Still, I keep this thought tucked away: Whether it’s protecting himself from an unscrupulous predator or fighting for competitive employment, the choices David makes going forward will create the map to a life he must one day call his own.”
Inspiring book, great writing, nice mother and powerful role model!
