where the writers are
Still room for humor, right?

In the midst of all this political stress I completely forgot to mention that I'd uploaded Chapter 8 of my collaborative novel-in-progress, Million Dollar Ideas, to my author page. This is that sort-of-satirical, sort-of-silly book set in Hollywood in the late '40s, about a couple of hustling screenwriters with some oddly anachronistic ideas. This particular chapter is one of my personal favorites, as an intellectual femme fatale named Leona Sands comes between Ed and Johnny and threatens to destroy their puerile idyll forever. It was nice to reread it as I got ready to upload it...took my mind off some things. And, as ever, I'm interested in any thoughts on improving the book, marketing it, or just calling attention to it.

Now back to the phone list from my.barackobama.com....
