The royal wedding honestly had only been on my radar in a peripheral way, but then Gina at Red Room invited me to write a piece on Kate Middleton's "last night of freedom", and I had great fun with it (and learned about "hen nights" and Thomas Crapper toilets in the process!) I am grateful for this assignment for another reason, as well--I haven't been able to find much time to write around a very active 17 month old, but this piece proved to me that if I can find time to write a freelance assignment on a subject I wouldn't have explored on my own, I can very well find time to write about the subjects that are truly calling me. So thank you, thank you, thank you for that incredibly important reminder! Red Room rocks!
