where the writers are
Been a while

It has been a while since I got back in the game. Moved to a new state and city. Left New York to go down south where the sun shined and people were more friendly. I was depressed for a time and couldn't find the right groove. Writers block was more like a huge stone wall with a moat around it.

Then I got down to business and finished up a novella that had begun a year ago. Tore it apart and redid the entire thing.  A mythological romance  involving Aztec gods and a fight between good and evil with a suspense sprinkled in. I sent it to a an editor, she replied she "loved the writing style but it was too plot heavy."

((Sigh)) Still I was grateful she took the time to make a personal letter and not just a cold rejection form letter. And so I will try again and shop the story around and see where it will find a home.

I know it will. Just like I found a home in North Carolina.

Still writing

Like you I finished my first novel, but each time I read it I tweek it just a little more. At some point I want it out of my laptop on on to a bookshelf. It too will come.

Been to North Carolina lots of times and have earmarked it for a possible retirement location. But at the rate I'm going now, I'll never retire.

Good Luck to you!
