I was born in Spartanburg, S.C., raised in Harlem, NY. I wrote my first article around 1991 on W.E.B Dubois, who was one of the premiere scholars of the Harlem Renaissance. The article and the life of Dubois inspired me as the writer. I knew I had a special gift to secure the relationship of past to present the present circumstance of racial hostility with a vision for the future like no other of my generation. I planned my life with precision in knowing the truth that makes men free.
Influences
My influences include a broad spectrum of intellectuals; Aristotle, Professor Diop, W.E.B. Dubois, Cecero, Confucius, Christ, King David, Rabbi Joshua Liebman just to mention a few who broke through the barriers not forgetting Dr. King, Malcolm X, and Marcus Garvey...these are the essential components to conguering the evils of our society's tyrannical stance on race.
