I've heard conflicting reports about the number of copies the average book sells. One source advised me it is 100; the other advises it is 150. In that neighborhood, it hardly matters! Frequently, publishers do little to promote the book - they will get it printed and into stores, but if the author isn’t already well known or making a huge marketing effort, the book may well fall into the lowly category of 100-150 copies sold.
I'm doing everything I can to market my book, Just Trust Me; Finding the Truth in a World of Spin although sometimes, it's more like Finding the Time in a World of Everything Else. If you happen to live in Marin County, California, or know anyone who does, please send them to hear me speak at Book Passage this coming Saturday, January 7 at 7:00 p.m. 51 Tamal Vista, in Corte Madera. We've had good discussions about truth, politics and critical thinking at past events, and I'm hoping some interesting people show up!
