A friend sent along the link to RedRoom today. How perfect. I am pulled along by the quickening currents, closer and closer to the cataract of publication date for my second book. And Red Room will provide a very nice platform, collateral to my six-year-old weblog, Fragments from Floyd, where there may not be as many book readers as I would expect to find here.
Wonderful! I see that images can be included.
So I'm off to explore the possibiities. When things get settled here, I'll link from Fragments and begin telling you more about the new book.
Meanwhile, I'd best pick up my paddle to avoid being dashed into the rocks of procrastination or sucked into the hydraulic undertoe of false confidence. Or any further abuses of the poor metaphor. Again, soon, y'all.

Writing Genre
Definitely non-fiction is where my short writing life has centered, and a long history as a biology-watcher influences much of what I write. Also, I've only lately pondered the concept of "sense of place" and feel it strongly in my attachments to the southern Appalachians. My latest book (as if there were many--only two) is a "personal ecology" that covers a lot of topics, held together by reverence for nature and the stories that come from immersion in our chose rural lifestyle.
I notice I don't have anything up about the new book here, so better get busy!
