Frank Pineiro's Biography

Member Info

A San Francisco, California suburb.
Single, still shopping.
Feb 2008

I'm a novelist and filmmaker, born in a beautiful colonial town in the mountains of Southern Mexico and raised there and in California's Bay Area.  I interrupted my college studies by becoming a racing driver in Europe for a couple of years and a writer to support it, then returned to the U.S. to pursue both of those interests.  A meeting with Paul Newman on the race tracks redirected my writing interests into screenplays. He was interested enough in my first one to sit down and discuss it with me. I still have a signed letter from him, which is cool because he didn't give autographs.  I've directed two independent feature films based on my own scripts and we shot them in the San Francisco area.
My new novel, Life, Love and Terrorism, has just been published and is now available on Amazon Books. It's a contemporary love story that takes place amid acts of terrorism and controversial genetic experimentation. It is also being called a ground-breaking 'visual novel' because it provides the reader with the option to visit and explore the exact location being described in the narrative at over 75 points along the story. This is accomplished with the use of Google Earth© and a list provided by the publisher and obtained with just an email.
On a personal level, I'm still single, still looking for the right woman, and loving life and all its challenges. I love to travel, meet new people and try to learn something more from life each day.  My novels are available on Amazon and other major booksellers, here and in Europe.  Also available now as e-books for Kindle, under my pen name: Paco Piñeiro.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Leo Tolstoy, Charles Dickens, Octavio Paz.
