Next Saturday, April 21, is going to be a busy day! We start off with the new Student Readers Group, an education/outreach initiative I create to bring more students in their teens and early 20s to the Alabama Book Festival; the inaugural selection is Jim Crow and Me by Solomon Seay, Jr. and we are expecting a good crowd for the 9:00 AM convening, when Attorney will discuss the book with the high school and college students who read it.
Most of the rest of the day will be spent in the exhibitor area where we will be manning our display table for the Creative Writing magnet at Booker T. Washington Magnet High School.
Finally, from 4:00 - 4:30 PM, I am presenting from Children of the Changing South in the South Tent.
It should be a good day!
