Book vs. Movie
A lot of movies are disappointing compared to the books from whence they are taken, while some books are so huge a movie can never capture their message.
Now, I promised myself I would henceforth avoid references to religion on Red Room.
Allow me to slip just this once.
During the 1960s, my husband was a technician at the University of New Brunswick Geology Department. His coworkers, who respected him for for his low-key approach to religion, asked him if he had seen seen the then new movie, The Bible.
My husband was also known for his dry sense of humor among the staff in the lab. Gales of laughter erupted from them, therefore, when he simply replied, “I read the book.”
