FARRELL WINTER has been writing and illustrating since the age of five. He joined the Redwood Writers branch of the California Writers Club in 2007, where he is one of the editors of its monthly publication, The Redwood Writer. He continues to write memoir and short stories, and is researching his autobiography and revising his first novel, Zohu: A Land Ruled by Women. He is published in the Redwood Writers anthology Vintage Voices and the Sitting Room anthology Spirit Matters, and has written articles and short stories for music and political publications throughout California. He additionally wrote scripts and storyboards for 17 community access cable television programs produced by his video production company, A Community of Artists. In 2010 he read his poetry at the San Mateo, California, County Fair, and with YWCA Writers against Domestic Violence. Originally from the East Coast and with relatives scattered all over the country, he currently lives in Santa Rosa, California, with his family. He enjoys hiking in nature, bicycle riding, reading, editing and of course writing.
