Oh, Red Room! You have been around the top of my list of things I'd like to do (spend time reading and blogging here, that is) but don't have enough hours in the day for. It's been too long . . .
I hope this note finds all readers well, warm, and conscious of whatever there is of happiness and love in your life. May both be abundant! I wish you all a peaceful solstice, a joyful holiday season, and a lovely and productive new year!
To help bring the muse into your holidays, I leave you with the link to the Advent Calendar that has been up -- and counting down -- all month on the Delirious Hem blog. A new audio poem every day! Mine is featured today; hope you'll enjoy it, but I hope even more that you'll scroll back through the month's offerings . . . and come back to the site every day for the rest of the week for new posts! Poetry lovers of all faiths, including faith-in-oneself, fear not: the calendar counts toward Christmas, but is decidedly not holiday-themed. Poems on many and various subjects will greet your ears. : ) (The one exception might be the lovely, lovely poem "Creche," which appeared a few days ago -- and well worth a listen by any mother of a "winter baby.")
I'll see you back here in the New Year!
