It's helping immensely that people are spreading the word; so far we've collected 227 quilts! The first shipment went off two days ago. It traveled by land from our Vacaville warehouse to SFO. From there, it'll go by ship to LAX, then by ship to Tokyo (stopping briefly in Yokohama). What a trip (in both senses of the expression)! This shipment cost $272, and we've received several extremely generous donations that have covered this expense and then some. We continue to raise funds because there will be many more shipments.
