“At 57, A First Novel With Legs”

“... The novel is rich in family and political drama, and offers a fascinating portrait of traditional Korean domestic life.” --More.com
I was moved, and sometimes embarrassed, reading More.com's interview. Writer Karina Martinez-Carter did an excellent job of condensing an hour-plus rambling conversation into something that actually tells a story perfectly targeted to More magazine's audience. Though my father was a journalist and I'm married to one and so have a natural appreciation for journalists, today I have new admiration. Thank you More.com.
THE CALLIGRAPHER’S DAUGHTER . . . is a beautiful, deliberate and satisfying story spanning 30 years of Korean history”
