“I am always doing that which I cannot do,” stated Picasso,“ in order that I may learn how to do it.” No doubt if Picasso was alive today, he would have learned how to master the Internet to market his paintings, sculptures, etchings, stage designs, and ceramics.
How do you turn your internet marketing idea into reality? Once you set a goal you want to find a way to actually get there as opposed to just thinking, “Oh, that would be a nice thing to do some day." Truth be told, almost everything can be sold on the Internet. It is so big and expansive that it boggles the mind of anyone who has been successful marketing products.
While working on the second edition of my book Career Success Without a Real Job: The Career Book for People Too Smart to Work in Corporations, I came up with several new ideas on how to make money online. I now have far too many great ideas to pursue.
Unfortunately, when most people see successful individuals make a system like the Internet work, but they themselves don’t understand, they make up stories. Stories abound about how successful individuals are lucky, how they have gotten all the breaks in life, and how they have to be dishonest to make it in this world. Most of these stories are either untrue or out-and-out lies.
It turns out that becoming an Internet success is a lot simpler than that. Success, after all, is based on commitment, perseverance, and common sense. Above all, this is the most important secret to getting started on an Internet business: Do it badly — but at least do it!! That is exactly what I am doing this week with the launch of three new websites with many more to come:
Do as I am doing on the Internet and as I have done in the past with self-publishing which has led to my books being published in 20 languages and 27 different countries. Jump into it full force and correct course when necessary. The beauty is that in a few years when your Internet idea turns out to be highly profitable, you can sit back most of the time, press a few buttons, and collect the big checks. Of course, you will have to endure all the complainers and lazy people of the world claiming how lucky you are.
