Are you ready America? If you have been paying attention, then you realize that we are witnessing what is probably the most historical presidential race in the history of the United States. One that not only includes the first African-American candidate but also the first woman vice presidential hopeful as well.
I have always been proud to be an American, but this year's election has given me even more reason to hold this great country in high esteem. This election is not only exciting, but with its unique blend of candidates it sends a message to the rest of the world - America really is still the land of opportunity. A land where anyone can be anything they want to when they put their will and effort into it.
But does the fact that you are the first African-American candidate for the White House, or the first female to run for vice president qualify you as a leader? Hardly. Whether you are Caucasian, African-American, Asian, Hispanic, male, female or undecided has absolutely nothing to do with your ability or qualifications as a leader.(Click link above to continue)
