After the darkness has cloaked the night sky,
And the stars put on their veil of invisibility,
There are stories made and there are stories told,
Beyond earth's horizon way into the Milky Way,
There are mysteries hid from the beginning,
Hid far away from the prying eye of man,
Where roam angels and holy cherubims,
Yes,way beyond the Milky Way an Intelligence,
Greater,much greater than human genius,
God looks down at all the galaxies He had made,
Thinking what had become of man,for man
Had gone berserk like that one in Connecticut,
Rushing into a school and shattering the silence,
Or the children's lovely innocence with gunfire.
Gunfire does not belong in a school,
We have heard it on the fields of battle, and
The killing fields in Bosnia,or Sudan and elsewhere,
But the school compound was alien to gunfire.
O ye wayward men of the world, keep out our schools,
Leave our lovely children in their veils of innocence!
