In the third time in ten years a life -threatening drought is attacking the Sahel Region.This is a semi-arid region in Saharan Africa that  passes through 8 countries.These are:-Senegal,Mauritania,Mali,Bukino Faso,Niger,Nigeria,Chad and Sudan.

One million innocent children are in danger!Because my heart bleeds for them I am calling on 4 powerful Lions to get involved in this project.

[1] Mr Nelson Mandela,the Lion of Africa.

[2]President Barack Obama,the Lion of America

[3]Prince William,the Lion of the U.K

[4]Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz,the Lion of Saudi Arabia

I am calling on the authorities not to respond late this year[UN ,Oxfam,Save the Children,etc].Also,I am recommending that a more long term plan be implemented for the Region.This plan must include all Donor agencies ,all leaders of the 8 countries of the belt,the UN and of course the 4 powerful Lions.

Such a plan, therefore ,must consider the following salient points:-

[1]The Revisiting and Expansion of Irrigation and Farming opportunities in the Region.

[2]The building of dams[perhaps along the Niger River and other waterways.]

[3] The construction of desalination plants.

[4]The construction of a network of massive warehouses to store food and water for times of famine.
