Queen Elizabeth ll Diamond Jubilee
Blog Post by enoch john - Jun.05.2012 - 7:36 pm
So that now that I have graciously grown old,
And for six decades I have worn this crown,
As monarch,yet as a lady,as a mother and grandmother,
But now ,accompanied by a typical English rain,
The crowds throng the streets and look up,
To hear the salutation of the Royal Air Force flypast and the Feu de Joie.
A flotilla of a thousand barges set the Thames alight with colour,
To honour a quintessential British Monarch
Who sheds tears of joy in her heart.
I thank you,O millions of Britons from the many vales
Of Scotland and Wales and the white cliffs of Dover,
I tremble in humility at the great outpouring of love.
