The greatest faux pas the Democratic Presedential nominee has made thus far has nothing to do with flying pigs wearing bright lipstick.Neither has it any connection to his utterings about the economy nor does it lie in his foreign policy statements.[And by Jove, these have been cloaked in pretty vague and ambiguous terminology]
In my opinion,Barack Obama's almost suicidal decision was his failure to name one Hillary Rodham Clinton as his running mate.In fact I told friends in my circle that had I been in his position I would have invited both Hillary and Bill, along with Michelle and made that announcement at a fancy press conference the following night.Of course. my
neighbour told me in no uncertain terms that he agreed with Obama's decision to omit Hillary. There was some talk that the Obama camp had fears of a Hillary and Bill combo. As I said before I would have done otherwise because it would have been a winning combo-a sure ride to the White House.
Then came that brilliant chess move from the Rebublicans. The introduction of the petite Alaskan governor,Sarah Palin
and the drama started, not only in Mrs Palin's family but spilled out to a starved media. The Republicans were revived
as Rep. Presedential nominee Mc Cain rejoiced in his new blood transfusion. But then ,only diamonds are forever. The
astounding happenings on Wall Street have stolen the show from the Palin camp and once more and mysteriously too
Obama has been given back the ball.I think ,before the fat lady sings ,the political pundits will rechristen Mr Obama
the cat with nine lives.
