Emilie Richards is the author of sixty novels which have been published in more than twenty-one countries and sixteen languages. In the summer of 1996 she began her single title career and continues to write for Mira Books, most recently One Mountain Away, the first of the Goddess Anonymous series. Sunset Bridge, a July 2011 paperback release, is the third novel in the Happiness Key series. In 2005 she made her debut as a mystery author with a new series, "Ministry is Murder," for Berkley Prime Crime. The first book, Blessed is the Busybody, was followed by Let There Be Suspects in December 2006, Beware False Profits in December 2007, A Lie for a Lie in December, 2008; in February 2009 and most recently, A Truth for a Truth; in October 2010. Emilie received a RITA from Romance Writers of America for her novel, Dragonslayer.

The following year she received a prestigious award honoring the romance novel of the year that best portrayed a social issue for The Trouble With Joe. She has also won multiple awards from Romantic Times magazine, including a career achievement award. Two of her novels were featured on RTs top 200 romance novels list. She has been a guest on the Leeza show to promote her books and quoted in Reader's Digest, right between Oprah and Thomas Jefferson.

Emilie regularly appears on bestseller lists including the USA Today list. A frequent speaker at national conferences, she lives in Sarasota, Florida with her husband. She is an avid gardener and quilter and the mother of four children, whom she regards as her greatest creative endeavors.
