Elena Lappin's Biography

Member Info

Apr 2012

I write fiction, non-fiction, and occasionally something in-between.  Author of a collection of stories, Foreign Brides, and a novel, The Nose. My  investigative narrative about the case of Fragments, a famous Holocaust hoax, was the cover title in Granta’s Truth and Lies issue (The Man with Two Heads). Contributed features, reviews and columns to, among others, Prospect, Slate, Sunday Times, Guardian Weekend, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die Zeit, and New York Times Book Review. Now working on a memoir and a few other, as yet unfermented, ideas. Have avoided blogging like the plague (except for one half-hearted attempt, years ago, entitled Interludes), but this seems like a perfect way to blog without narcissism.
