Well, I did get a few hundred words into "Enshadowed", no progress on "Dead Heir" as I'm indecisive about a plot point and I need to settle it before I proceed.
Given how things are going with "Dead Heir" I can see the value of doing a brief outline for even a short story. "Enshadowed" I did a one-page outline for, I think I'm going to go back and do the same for "Dead Heir".
Real Life(tm) is a bother. Work is insane right now as we're preparing to ship a pile of new products and we're in the final test stages, every bug has to be fixed RIGHT THEN and by the time I get home, I don't even feel like watching TV! A sad state of affairs.
I'm considering blocking out all day every Sunday for writing. Since all my friends are online, and I can do my hiking and running around on Saturday, it seems like a good habit to get into.
Writing at work during lunch keeps things moving but at this rate, it'll take me a couplke of months or more to finish a first draft of a short story! What a bother!
Even though this feels slower than a snails pace, things do move forward even if somewhat glacially. Anything is FAR better than nothing!
